I've just been out in the Land Cruiser that I've borrowed for a couple of days, and I was listening to Parliament on the radio.

The Prime Minister was asked a question about amusement arcades on piers, and he said ...

... come on Jayne, cut to the chase ...

... that the Government is keen to "encourage prosperity in Britain's seaside resorts".

Yaay. Does this mean that they wil buy me a new car?

Of course it does!
One that runs on candyfloss and sounds like an ice cream van.
Question Author

That'll do !!!

I hope you are using bio-diesel.

I imagine the PM is referring to the cull of the coffin dodgers that hang around those there parts, to bring the local yoof quota up.
Jaynes got a MG

It probably already sounds like an icecream van, and runs of something far more miraculous than candy floss if it's running at all :)
I would demand PROOF that a new car was on offer.Logbook and keys might constitute PROOF ion some circles. In others a handshake and a nod count as PROOF but are harder to verify.

GLAD THIS DID HELP YOU

Question Author

Yeah (looks around to make sure she's not being overheard) we have got more than our fair share of oldsters here.

Mind you, it could be worse ...

... like Hove! Or ... Eastbourne !!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghh.

Does it help you blend in Jayne, or are you the minority yoof?
No, it means they will buy your MP a new car. And a new flat, and employ all his family.

Chuck, don't be mean to my car.

Leggy, over in KempTown, a nudge and a wink is good currency and proof of ownership.

So, since I live on the coast too, do you think they will buy me my new car too??
