tinned tomatoes

is the juice from a tin of tomatoes the same as a carton of tomato juice?

no tinned tomato juice is thin and runny and the cheapest, tomato juice to drink is more refined and thicker use the better class of tomato

No it's not the same.

The juice you find in a tin of toms is mainly water. Proper tom juice is made from toms with no water added.

If you buy Napolina tomatoes the juice is quite tomatoey. Although they are more expensive I think the flavour is better.

thanks all.
I ordered a HUGE catering tin of tomatoes instead of the normal size. (That's online shopping for you!)
Anyway, there was far too much juice and wondered if we could chill it and drink it.
I'll freeze it for me soups.
