I have just had some thai red chicken from Tesco- it had all these inch long fibres in it. They were a bit stiffer than a hair but looked fibrous. Any idea what they were? Part of the sauce, or something gross?

could it be ginger ? that can be fibrous ,if you aren't too sure send it off to tescos with a letter of complaint ,at the very least you should get a voucher to spend on another one
It could also be bamboo shoots. These are quite fibrous.
It could be lemon grass....often used in Thai curries, and rather " woody ".
