I need wording for the above, or copies that I can use in the restaurant / bars where I work to inform customers that any kind of abuse of staff will not be tolerated.

How about something along these lines
"Our staff are here to help you, however they have a right to carry out their work without fear of being assaulted or abused. Assault and any form of abuse, verbal or physical will not be tolerated."
Obviously you can tailor it so say what you want to and this is just to give you an" idea of what could be said.
