I usually do this one which work quite well
lidl bratwurst sausage (chopped) or diced chicked breast
2 tins of vegetable soup
2 chopped dried chilli's
sliced potato
BEEF STEW..serves 4.....2onions finley chopped/ half a pound carrots thinly sliced/ 1lb potatoes thinly sliced/ any other veg you fancy thinly sliced/ pound and a half stewing beef cubed/ salt & pepper/ 2 pints stock/ tomato puree. Put the slow cooker on high before you start. heat a little oil/lar in a fryingpan, cover the beef in some flour which has the salt & pepper added and fry lightly till a bit brown..throw all the rest of the veg into the same frying pan and cook for a few minutes till all the juices of the meat are used up and put the meat & veg in the cooker use the same frying pan to boil up the stock and the puree and pour on top of the rest of the ingredients. cook on high for an hour and turn to low for 8 - 12 hours. I also cook the most amazing cakes in my slow cooker....but thats not waht you asked for is it??!!
I am interested in the cakes.
