Someone was telling me yesterday that ANYONE who mixes fish and dairy products will break out in an all over body rash

This sounds like jibba jabba to me but i'd prefer not to experiment on myself

Can anyone confirm the accuracy of his opinon please

What a load of CODS wallop. Fish pie would be tastless without the grated cheese. Salmon mousse would be salmon. Tell the spotty oik, rubbish.
Rubbish. I poach fish in butter and milk and its fine
I thought that "old wives tale" died when I was a child - and I am an old lady now!!! Although the version we had was it caused tummy aches.
This stricture does happen to be present in Kashrut or Jewish Kosher law, since the mixing of meat, fish and dairy is prohibited... so if one is not Hassidim or otherwise observant or entertaining those that are such there is, obviously, no problem...
I eat bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon most days and I am still here!!!

Moules Mariniere... sometimes uses cream (depends on who's cooking it)
Cod in butter sauce
seafood chowder
Monkfish with a mushroom cream sauce
Pan-fried cod on a bed of pea puree with smoked bacon and shallot cream sauce
Kedgeree
Lobster thermidor
