In the States Jacobs Coat Casserole is the same as our Shepherds Pie made with minced beef.

Jacobs Coat Casserole is made in the manner of Shepherds Pie in the UK. Firstly a layer of minced beef followed by a layer of mixed vegetables which is topped by a layer of cheese and finally a topping of mashed potato.
