If head lice are air breathing little creatures, how come you can't just lie down in the bath for 20 minutes and kill them all. Instead I am told I need a bottle of chemicals costing 10 quid every week until they all die..Seriously, I would like the answer to this question!!!!

It`s not just the lice you want rid of it`s also the eggs which the louse glues to your hair. The chemical will kill these before they hatch. A nit comb and either olive oil or hair conditioner is another way to remove them. Why does it make you itch just writing about them
How come you pay for it? I thought you can get it free at Boots.

Free? Why would it be free? Am I missing something here?
Aye, if you got head lice comb some out and stick them to the paper and take it to your Boots pharmacy. They would give you a free lotion, enough for 2 applications.
i think they are winding you up - more like the pharmacist will give you a slap
