In a recent repeat of the Ronnie Barker comedy "Open All Hours" there was an advert for Rowntrees Montego in the shop window. Do you remember these? Can you tell me what they were?

I'm sure I remember these as being ice lollies, in orange and some other flavour. Pineapple perhaps.

No they weren't lollies, Ethel, they were the best biscuits EVER. They were like Breakaways but they were ginger biscuits covered in chocolate (dark, I think). I used to spend half my dinner money on them. Oh, I'd fogotten them and I'm slavering like mad now.
i cant believe other folk remember (probably the tastiest biscuit ever made), lol we should start a campaign to get them back again !!!
They were made by Nestle (Rowntrees)They had a spice through them unless you were one of the lucky ones who,s Mum worked in Gray Dunn factory in Glasgow were you got the chocolate all the way through lol
