Godalming, Woking and Putney?

Does anyone know what you call people from Godalming, Woking and Putney? I read somewhere that the first ones were something like Godalmeins or something, but Woking?? I dont know what I am! and also Putney if you dont mind...

It's about as official as you're likely to get - while it's not in common usage in the way that, say, Mancunian or Glaswegian is, it seems to be the correct (indeed only) demonym - yes, I looked that up :-) - used for inhabitants of the town.
It is most commonly used in connection with former pupils of the long-defunct grammar school - e.g. their football club is known as the Old Wokingians (the club still exists even though the school is long gone), but can also be used for residents of the town in general. I hope this helps.
