Tomorrow is the day of the hot date, I am so excited! We are going to La Tasca (a Spanish place) and I have looked at the menu and most of it contains garlic. Obviously I don't want to be smelling of garlic, so does anyone know how to cure garlic breath?

Thanks

Fresh parsley
Chewing parsley is supposed to take it away i believe so several trips to the ladies with a bag of it is all i can think of have a brilliant date and give us an update good luck
As long as the other person eats garlic too there should be no problem. Remember to check teeth for parsley, green teeth is worse than garlic breath.
Hi amazingtoxic,

Coffee granules (not pleasant, I admit) is another one to add to the parsley - and yes it does appear to work!

If your hot date also partakes in a garlic infested meal, neither of you will detect it on the other. It is only if one of you eats it, that the other person will know!! Strange but true!!

Enjoy :o))
Hellion,

As I was putting pen to paper, so you also sent missive.

At least we agree!!!!!
If both of you eat the garlic then it wont be problem. Other than that i can only think of parsley as the others have suggested
garlic not smelly at the time it is more stale garlic smell the following day that can be unpleasant so you will be fine (well maybe not if with him again on Saturday !). Have a great time and enjoy. If he has picked the restaurant clearly he likes garlic.

Hi, no advice other than what the others have said - just wanted to say enjoy yourself and don't worry coz if he really likes you he won't care anyway!!

here's the menu so you can pick what you want in advance and maybe avoid some of the garlic!!

enjoy

ps let us know how it goes!
I've eaten in La Tasca (it's lovely"!) and the way it works is that you get loads of small dishes to share. Which means chances are you will be eating the same thing so you wont notice the garlic in each other!

Enjoy!
