Made an old fashioned bread pudding. Theres a lovely wiff of mixed spices around the house. Not tasted it yet but it looks perfect.:0)

I need your recipe nicebloke!  OH has fond memories of his grandma's bread pudding and I've tried and tried, but they are never quite right.

Bread & butter pudding, on  the other hand, has never been a problem.  :(

800g bread. No crusts.

300ml milk

2 eggs

50g brown soft sugar

250/300g mixed fruit

2 teaspoons cinnamon.

1 tea spoon nutmeg

2 teaspoons mixed spice

115g melted butter.

9 x 9inch tin 2inches deep. 1hr 20mins 170c fan oven.

I also chucked in 12oz of smashed up walnuts. Gives it a little bit of crunch. Just cut into it and its heaven although i say it myself. :0)))

Well this whole idea seems to have backfired. The bread pudding was so successful that the wife now wants me to hold a full time position in the kitchen, this was not part of my plan. :0( Theres already an order gone in for a repeat pud along with other requests.
