Onion bahjies and chicken chat on order. Trying not to think about cholesterol levels😬

wine, I'm going to my Kiwi mates house to watch the Rugger! There should be some solids at some stage.

rolled breast of lamb, purée of root veg, roasties and a selection of steamed veg...baby sprouts, fine green beans, baby carrots and mange-tout...redcurrant jelly.

Steak pie, and if I can be bothered a few skin on chips, just back from a flying visit to london, no energy for anything more.

We're having a savoury crumble which came about to use up roast chicken in a different way. The base is chicken, peas, sweet corn, leeks, chestnuts, a jar of some white cooking sauce and some cream. The crumble is butter, flour, oats, Parmesan, chopped nuts, hot paprika. I just hope it's nice 🫤

Oh, and with broccoli on the side 🥦

Helen, I looked up the American thing you had the other day, a Philly whatsit, my goodness, it looked tasty 😋 I had wrongly assumed it was something involving Philadelphia cheese 😁

The DT voted Philly cream cheese as only 1* today, the best Asda's whipped cream cheese followed by M&S's.

The anagram of Asda Supermarket is, of course, 'A sad supermarket!'

Oh vagus the cheese steak was delicious

all your dinners sound delicious

I almost always use Sainsbury's own cream cheese...it hasn't got any additives and it's cheap.

I'm not terribly hungry today...I feel very blehhh, as if a cold is lurking in the wings.

So far I've only had chicken mayo. I took some giant prawns out of the freezer earlier, which may become Tuscan prawns with baby plum tomatoes, and a garlic parmesan cream sauce.

I love prawns in garlic butter and a huge slab of bread to soak up the butter - ohh they were the days

Good prosciutto tortellini with a mushroom & mascarpone sauce.  I'm cheating by having bought these.

In my  defence I offer that my ovens died dramatically on Wed.      :(     New ones arriving next Wed. morning.  :)

So Sunday will be Somerset Pork with apples served with rice.

We had beef wellington with a rich onion gravy, pan roasted shallots, roast spuds, tenderstem broccoli and asparagus.  Then chocolate fondant with raspberry coulis and homemade vanilla ice cream.

Tonight I be having. Two pork sausage, mashed potato, greens, onion, and gravy. Aren't I lucky?

That sounds a lot better than toast David. Though toast is nice too...with lots of butter.

We have just had a fabulous tasting menu - the main ingredients for my courses were venison, sea bream, goat's cheese, flatiron steak then peach mousse. Will be asleep soon I think 🥱

I bought some lovely thick slabs of belly pork yesterday so I did them in the slow cooker with onions, apples, sage leaves and dry cider, I ate one tonight with carrot and swede mashed with butter, black pepper and fresh nutmeg and a small baked potato.

Tomorrow will depend on what the tub I've taken from the freezer is, spag sauce or chilli, I think it's spag sauce.
