Bbc Quiz : Week 40
Good evening, all!
The weeks seem to roll by ever faster these days but it does seem that it’s Friday again!
I could only manage a ‘passable’ score of THREE out of seven in the main quiz this week:
https:/
The junior quiz is, I feel, fairly easy this week. That will probably explain how I managed to score a ‘decent’ FOUR out of five on it:

Your turn!

My scores are
4/7, 3/5
Feeling much better after my double jabs last week.
How did your performance poetry evening at the theatre go? I hope it was well received and you had a wonderful and enjoyable time.
Hope you also enjoyed experimenting with the new radio antennae. Have you connected with anyone exciting or interesting recently?
I remember, when I was younger, a friend having CB radio hobby which was fun to mess about with.
I hope you and the kitties enjoy a wonderful week ahead 😊
Welcome back, Ubasses!
Well done on being a perfect kid this week!
I suggest rewarding yourself with some extra time on your roller skates and a sherbert dip :)
Good evening, Canary42!
I hope that you'll never grow up completely or all of the fun will go out of your life! :)
Hi, Sam.
Thanks for allowing to just nudge ahead of you this week :)
[If guesses were ever banned here, I suspect that there would be a lot more zero scores each week!]
We're all well here, thanks, as I hope that you are too!
Hi, Campbellking!
Another perfect kid, I see! Well done!
I hope that it's only the very finest quality fish that you're sharing with your feline friends. (A little Dover sole, perhaps?). They deserve nothing less, I feel sure :)
Good evening, Karamia!
All the very best people have an aggregate score of 7 this week, I reckon ;-)
I'm glad that you've recovered from your jabs. I had my flu one a fortnight ago and I've got the Covid one tomorrow.
I've not had any particularly special radio contacts recently. (The best ionospheric conditions seem to be in the mornings at the moment and I'm definitely not a morning person!). However I'm still enjoying chatting to people from all sorts of places. (For example, a guy in Kaliningrad yesterday was telling me about how strong the storm winds off the Baltic Sea were at his location).
CBers and radio hams don't always get along too well together. We have to take exams to get a licence but they don't!
My performance poetry seenmed to go down really well in Newmarket last Saturday, with the audience laughing in all the right places and with lots of people coming up to me afterwards to say how much they'd enjoyed it. (It must have been a dream though; I'm sure that I'll wake up soon!).
I hope that you'll have a fantastic week ahead.
3/7 v 2/7
4/5 v 2/5
Pretty dismal....
Shady as lovely as ever.
Weather so wet here, I have recruited 4 ewe lambs to mow the grass for me.
Very impressed with your performance poetry, I could never do something like that in spite of 40 years in the classroom.
Hope you and your trio have a dry and sunny week :-)
At least you avoided any disasters, Haras2 :)
>>> "Very impressed with your performance poetry"
That's probably because you've never had to listen to it 😄
I'm pleased to hear that Shady's in fine form. (My lot are all as bonkers as ever!)
I'm not sure what my cats would make of lambs in the garden though!
We seem to have been on the right side of the country, weather-wise, recently. Storm Agnes was no more than a light breeze here and it's been warm and sunny for several days now (and forecast to stay that way for several days more too).
I hope that you'll have plenty of sunshine in your life too this week, both literally and metaphorically!
