Or 2. Yesterday I got 2 packs of M and S Vintage Cornish Cove cheese and onion sausages...normally £4.75 reduced to 1.47 each. Then off to Sainsbury's where I found a boneless shoulder of lamb for £5.80...reduced from 11.75.
Last week it was Arctic Royal Mexican scallops at £4 reduced from £8 at Iceland...they are gorgeous by the way.

Bunches of cut flowers 30% off in aldi, lilies were still in bud and lasted another two weeks,
I occasionally see reduced products that I'd try if still on my own, but they go begging as it's too much trouble to convince my partner. I'll mention something and get ignored. But in fairness she knows what is needed, where it's bought, and whether the price is good or not.
Those sausages sound ghastly. Do they have proper sausage skin - or something else?
Recently I got three large organic corn fed chickens from Lidl they each had a 30% off sticker but also I had a 10% voucher off the full shop. I filled up on meat for the freezer and saved over £17. It was stuff I would have bought anyway so I was well pleased.
I must admit, the sausages don't sound very appetising.
Pork, onion, and cheese. The sausages seem worth trying to me.

I'm sorry the sausages are not to everyone's taste. I quite like them...and they are in natural casings. Why would you think otherwise Naomi?
For the past few months I've had to do one late shift a week. I have to do the final reductions at 5pm taking items down to 75% off.
About 4.50pm a group of people start milling around the pit discussing life, etc. They wait for me to finish all the items then pounce - gone in about 15 mins, like piranhas.
The good news though is I've picked out anything I fancy and set it to one side. I then go on my break and pay for my goodies.
I don’t know, really, pasta. I suppose because I only expect meat to be in sausage skins.

That sounds good Captain2. I think some people look fown on reduced food items...no matter where they come from.

Rowan, my daughter is always after the reduced flowers. She likes having flowers in her flat.

Well Naomi...that's what they are in!
Though in the last few years, other shops have ruined their premium sausages by switching to horrid man made skins.
Is that why they seem tougher to cut these days ?
I didn’t know there were man made sausage skins. Wonder what they’re made from?
I always cut the skins off sausages because they seem tough to me
Naomi skins made from collagen extracted from beef or pork skin. The sausages pasta described do have meat in them - the cheese and onion are added for flavour.

I sometimes use sausages as ingredients in meatballs or meatloaf. The un natural casings are impossible to remove ...whether raw or cooked. Horrible things.
An orchid plant with beautiful white flowers, reduced from £12 to £2.50
I do a wicked sausage meat pasta with carrots.
I stopped buying any sausages other than our local butchers ones, he makes them himself and uses natural sausage skins and meat from traceable sources. They really are delicious and have spoilt us for any others.
I never seem to get any supermarket bargains, I must go at the wrong time for them.
