re. Airfryer.

She has started with roasted parsnips and so far, impressed with ease of use and taste and presentation of product.

Jury still out, but prognosis looks good.

She is going to try a cake next.

Thank you! I do like a good roast parsnip. What make and model is it?
Question Author
She got it from Lakeland and is an oven fryer.

Sqad,
Would you consider changing the habits of a lifetime and try cooking something yourself? ;-)
Lol. :-)
I’m loving ours Ninja 15-1,I made a gorgeous apple crumble in it last night, 25 minutes, never used the oven and hob for over a week

NEVER! NEVER! What is the point of having a dog and barking yourself?
What size would y'all recommend for 2, occasionally more ? 3.8 litres or the 4.7 ,or 5.2 ?
I'm only 1 and I started off thinking 3.8 would suffice. But as I want to roast a chicken, I've progressed up to the 5.2.
I've got 3 I'm considering on my Amazon wishlist.
Question Author
Mrs sqad has a 12 litre airfryer, just for 2 people, but she wishes that she had gone for the 5.5 litre one.

She has always been used to a "big one"...;-)
‘ but ended up with medium ? :-)
Thanks, Sqad, I wasn't aware of that particular make.

Amazon.com User Recommendation

Thats the one she has...from Lakeland.
I've had a small air-fryer for a couple of years now and I love the veg. etc. I can roast in it. A friend has a super-duper all-singing one and every last Sat. morning it is now on duty at the Community Centre turning out beautiful bacon rashers for (well-selling) sarnies. I've almost decided to save up for a more expensive model.
^^^^ Every last Saturday morning in the month....
Yes, I did click on your previous link, Sqad :)
Question Author
Futher report from Mrs sqad suggests that if one eats to live......then the Airfryer is satisfactory'

If one lives to eat and the presentation, appearance and taste leaves a lot to be desired. Some foods are fine, some foods take as long in the Airfryer as in conventional methods of cooking and look and taste better...e.g salmon and other fish.

If cost is your main concern, then the airfyer is superb, but if gastronomical delights are what you seek, then in many cases the Airfryer falls short.

Just an opinion barry.
Thanks, Sqad. Will you please ask your good wife if she could cook enough for four adults in hers? I'm not asking for an invite - I cook for 4 :D
Has she baked the cake yet?
Question Author
She says probably if it was a casserole or the likes, but she feels that she is not experienced enough with the Airfryer to make an informed contribution to your question.

No cake yet.
Thank you both. I use a slow cooker or pressure cooker (depending on the cut of meat) for stews and casseroles, always have done.
