Solid Chocolate Mousse

Just tried a Mary Berry recipe for chocolate mousse. I followed all the instructions to the letter and used the ingredients as shown. Looks good, tastes good but is too solid. Does any member know why this has gone wrong.

I admit that my idea of cooking is shoving something in the microwave but ..

Maybe you didn't beat the mousse enough, I think that is how it gets so light and fluffy.
Questman, I can only agree with Delia on this one. Mousse needs gentle cooking, plenty of stirring (well done wolf) to make the chocolate mixture glossy and very gentle folding in of the beaten egg whites. I hope you try the recipe again and have excellent results.
