Ah yes, but the great and the good will be along to tell you that it's all the fault of the parents and there were, apparently, no starving children during the war, etc.
Scant comfort to a child who hasn't eaten all day...
I wouldn't bother if I was you Canary. Trying to get some folk to show compassion on thos issue is like trying to teach a cat to do tricks. You'll eventually get bored and it'll act all aloof before going to sleep.
//Im guessing the parents must be starving as well then//
Yep! Ive seen it. But trying to discuss the point is futile because you see what you want to see and ignore anything that goes against your own narrative.
No (half decent) parent would leave their child starving.
As I said on another thread about this subject, they’re not going to tuck into their tea/dinner and say say ‘Sorry, kids, we weren’t given more money for your food, so you’ll be going hungry.’
That said, it would help a lot of families if they were given free school meals during the holidays.
tell you what, why don;t all you hand wringers go round your local school and buy lunch for half a dozen kids eh? Heard a lot of whining but no actual dipping of hands in your skys. No One is starving in UK, end of.
