We have an opened bottle of Tabasco sauce in the fridge, but there is no 'best before' date on it. Anyone know how long it will keep?
Thanks in advance.

Well most chilli sauces have something like two years between the manf date and the use by date, the problem is is the label is gone how do you know how old it is already? Anyway it doesn't cost that much so if you are unsure just chuck it out.

maybe you could test it every now and then, you put a drop on to a cracker, when it no longer burns a hole through then throw it away!

This is from a U.S. University site:

The 60 represents months and it states either opened or unopened. The phone number is a reference number for the McIllhenny Company that makes the stuff.

Many thanks. It's about 12 months old now, so we're OK for a while. I'll keep testing it on the wife. :)
