This is no doubt a punt in the dark but if you don't ask .....

I tried meditating about 20 years ago and when I did I experienced this weird tingling sensation flowing from my head down my into body and which then seemed to come out of my fingers and toes.

Even though I decided not to continue with Meditating the tingling sensation has never gone away and although it is always present it is more obvious just before I wake up and when I am about to fall off to sleep.

Has anyone else had a similar experiences?

lol! wasnt sitting on my hands
Many years ago we had a Tai Chi session at our U3A. We all had a go. I had a tingling feeling in my fingers, it didn't go away and by evening all the skin on my fingers had stripped off. They were all red raw. I went to the doctors next day and he said he hadn't seen or heard of this before. Just gave me a prescription for some hand cream. Took over a week to heal.
You could have a mild case of ache-ass brought on by over mediation. :)
I suspect the meditation and tingling are unrelated. Sounds like a nerve issue to me. Commonly I awake with tingles in hands, arms, or wherever, these days. Probably age related as it didn't use to be the case.
Tingling in the extremities for 20 yrs.......?
Yeah! right.
Sounds as though your batteries need replacing.

Glancing through this post I have noticed the brainwash effect. People are now confused over mediation and meditation.
That's because the title and initial post differed. I think the subsequent mediation answers are tongue in cheek.
You are joking OG ..? ..;-)
