No, duplicate posts are frowned upon.
I don't know, Ael....but this is to stop you doing it!.... :-)
Not sure, but if I don't receive some acknowledgement I'll ask again.

But!!!!!

Only if the question applies to answers too!
Why not instead write, BUMP to bring it up again
It's best to reply to your own post with a 'bump' to get it back onto Latest Posts, otherwise you get multiple threads.
.
What does 'bump' mean?
^^^^
It's like a zit
Bumping up the post.Moving it up

Please post another post.

i don't have a problem with repeat posts. what i object to is people not scrolling down to find the answers. and what is worse people not putting the publication on the header and not giving enough info to sort answers.
I don't mind duplicate posts....not the end of the world....but I do feel sad when someone new and unsure how the site works gets a pompous and sarcastic reply....or is told to use somewhere other than AnswerBank.....no need for that......x

I think a lot of people do it to get back into Latest Posts because they don't know that simply putting an answer on their OP will have the same effect.
It doesn't bother me but there are some who bump their own chat if they haven't had a first comment within 10 minutes. I wouldn't have the nerve.
BUMP
Bring Up My Post....I always thought.
