Printer Problem

We have a Pixma printer. We had a paper jam which was removed. There is a message saying.
Support code 5100
Printer error has occurred, follow steps below.
Cancel printing.
Turn off machine.
Remove any paper jam.
We have done all this. Message still there.
Cannot do anything with printer.
Has anyone any ideas what we can do please?

I'm no expert, but you might care to try an old and tried method (known since medieval days) that involves turning it off at the mains, having a gin and tonic, switching it on again. If it doesn't work, have another gin and tonic. You never know with electronic things: they have a mind of their own.

Thanks very much for the info Chris. Tried it and doesn't work. We have definitely not got any paper still left in.
Might be time for a new printer!

OH has just discovered a piece of paper hidden in a corner.
All working now so no need for a new printer.
