Plenty to see and do in Iceland (but I can't spell most of the 'to-do' sights; The Blue Lagoon is a must; Reykjavik itself is lovely, you can stroll the whole city in a couple of hours; obviously take a boat trip out to see the whales, seals, etc.

And, as I know you are a food lover I dare you to try this:-

Can you have Yorkshire puds with that?

these range of books are good
Probably its only saving grace Mamya ;))
Visit the Holocaust memorial in Boston, very moving. If you take the heritage trail which is a yellow line on the pavement it will take you there and to many more key points of interest.

I think I'll give putrid decomposing shark a miss but thanks for the other tips ;)

Why it would be insubordinate not to, Mamya ;)

That sounds up my street, Eccles.

I'll browse those later, Islay.
Whale watching is great - just check that April is good for sightings.

Very underimpressed with Blue Lagoon - seems to exist primarily to separate tourists from large amounts of money. Smaller hot springs and pools in the countryside are much nicer and reassuringly private ...

My best tip was "hire a 4x4 and drive yourself up into the glaciers on the dirt and ice roads" - absolutely wonderful and the sno-mobiling was just ace too.

Don't eat the rotted shark or smoked puffin ... just don't.

I have hundreds of boring/interesting photos ... cook me dinner & you could get to see them ...

We did the Freedom Trail while we were in Boston, it's a great way to see a lot of the city. It ended with a tour on USS Constitution and a boat back over to Boston.

Have lunch in Faneuil Hall Marketplace, there's everything under the sun in there.

Isabella Stewart Gardner museum is lovely, you can then walk over to the Museum of Fine Art (if that's what floats your boat).

Hop on the train and go to Salem, it's dead easy and it's a beautiful town. You can learn all about the Witch Trials.

The best meal I had there was in a restaurant called Oleana, it's over the river, in Cambridge. If you like Middle Eastern food, it's a must.

I'd love to go back, it's a wonderful city.
Agree about Salem, lovely place to visit.

I think it's probably my turn to cook, NoM - but you still have to see the photos :)

I echo Rocky's comment about eating in Faneuil Hall - just great
