I don't touch the stuff but once it was my plate last week - I "tipped" it and could not believe the sugar in it. No wonder the kids are hyped up.

Don't give em Tunis Cake then ;-)
I think that youngsters' sugar intake comes from many sources....ketchup being way down the list!
from your link danny
"Some people believe that children are more likely to be hyperactive if they eat sugar, artificial sweeteners, or certain food colorings. Other experts disagree with this.”

Which is a lot different from the content of your link.
I tend to keep ketchup as an ingredient rather than a condiment.

On the rare occasions I have it, I doubt I'd have more than a teaspoons worth to dunk a few skinny chips in.

Can't say I have noticed it being overly sweet.
Indeed it is danny, mine is a research based article yours is about what people believe.
I'm partial to some Heinz tomato sauce. I was shocked to read a couple of weeks ago that 3 of the ingredients are from GM foods. Never mind the sugar! Also, high percentage of sodium too. Don't feel like having it anymore...

They would have to drink it in pints to get enough sugar to make them hypo!
My dad had ketchup with everything. Even on his Sunday dinners.
Was he hyperactive Ummmm?
Oh well that’s a trustworthy site Patsy. NOT!
Have you looked at their front page?

Patsy33, the link you provided contains many falsehoods and should not be believed. Apart from anything else, if you live in the UK, the ingredients list is totally different from the photograph shown on the website. Distilled vinegar is NOT made from genetically modified corn in the UK simply because the crop can be considered to not exist here.

Salt is salt no matter where it comes from. You can pay through the nose for it in Harrods Food Hall or buy it in Poundland @ two for a pound. It's all exactly the same. There is no such thing as "the cheapest salt".
Occasionally I crave a tomato ketchup sandwich.
Oughta be banned along with Marmite.
I hope the missus gives you one snags ....please give her my regards and tell her I miss her loads xxx
That's what I seen today on internet. I first read it in newspaper about two weeks ago. I'll have to look into it again. Still has a lot of salt and sugar. I still have it but not too often.
Listen Tony, as you are a man who doesn't 'do' gravy - I don't think you should be volunteering food n drink opinions.

Yer not right man!
