Watching bit of telly - but news is all about these dreadful floods - what can be done for all the folk who had their Christmas ruined?
Reading a present from my big sister - 'The Years it was Christmas' - out of print but she managed to trace a copy - starts in1939 and all about a family up in my lovely Northumberland. Reminds me very much of my childhood when we had so little but were so happy.

I'm on my own but only from this afternoon as I've been with family and friends all over Christmas and just came home today. I'm quite happy in my own company though.
Am really tired out, especially after a challenging journey home, so just had some left over turkey with spicy wedges and am going to settle down to watch something to get me all sleepy then head up to my bed for a good night's sleep :)

hellooooo Jacklee xx how nice to see you posting..hope you had a lovely family Christmas, sometimes it is quite nice to have a bit of quiet "me" time midst the madness..I am just in having spent the day with mum, about to get into my jim jams and wiggle the toes with a hot chocolate in front of the telly...hope you are well
I had my daughter and family for lunch on The Day but been on my own since. Used the time to catch up on a list of things 'to do' and watching programmes I had recorded. I've been ok though, just feel it's time I have to get through until we're back to normal again. I get more and more like Scrooge every year. I hate the whole commercialisation of what has become nothing like the Christmas I grew up with. Rant over, Happy New Year to you all
