Merry Christmas Jack. Does your daughter live close?
Yes I'm on my own at the moment . Son and OH have gone to cinema to see Star Wars. Hope you had a good Christmas.
Just cooking some food and thinking about watching the live screening on TV of Gypsy later tonight. Glass of port maybe? Mmmm cosy.

I have been home alone in a sense all Christmas except yesterday afternoon/evening - but plenty chat online and phone etc. and lots to keep me occupied,
Painting the landing..supposedly

Hi everyone good of you to call.
Watching bit of telly - but news is all about these dreadful floods - what can be done for all the folk who had their Christmas ruined?
Reading a present from my big sister - 'The Years it was Christmas' - out of print but she managed to trace a copy - starts in1939 and all about a family up in my lovely Northumberland. Reminds me very much of my childhood when we had so little but were so happy.

Hello Jack, I'm cheating, I've got company,
Just popped in to wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year,
It's good to hear from you, all the best to you and yours.
Nice to see you around, Jack. It sounds as though you had a nice Christmas. Happy New year to you. x

I'm preparing tea and trying not to eat too many pistachios. I am not alone but I might as well be as there's football on the tele.

Merry Christmas to Baldric and Tilly2
Sorry Zacs - my Daughter lives only 10 miles away - but too far for the old mobility scooter!
Yes,on my own and couldn't wish for better company.
Good to see you post, Jack. Glad you've had a good Christmas, hope you have a happy new year.
I'm not alone, just debating whether to raid the fridge.
That would be a bit of a trek on a mobility scooter. Your book sounds interesting.
Hi Jack, not on my own, but escaping for a while. Did you have a good Christmas? Xx
I'm on my own but only from this afternoon as I've been with family and friends all over Christmas and just came home today. I'm quite happy in my own company though.

Am really tired out, especially after a challenging journey home, so just had some left over turkey with spicy wedges and am going to settle down to watch something to get me all sleepy then head up to my bed for a good night's sleep :)
hellooooo Jacklee xx how nice to see you posting..hope you had a lovely family Christmas, sometimes it is quite nice to have a bit of quiet "me" time midst the madness..I am just in having spent the day with mum, about to get into my jim jams and wiggle the toes with a hot chocolate in front of the telly...hope you are well
Yes on my own (I do live alone) just back from a great few Days at Mums... and two younger Bro's. I had a crackin' time with family and good to see that all was safe and secure back at home.
I had my daughter and family for lunch on The Day but been on my own since. Used the time to catch up on a list of things 'to do' and watching programmes I had recorded. I've been ok though, just feel it's time I have to get through until we're back to normal again. I get more and more like Scrooge every year. I hate the whole commercialisation of what has become nothing like the Christmas I grew up with. Rant over, Happy New Year to you all
Hi Jacklee - glad you had a nice time with your daughter and I would feel like you I would say the same thing re not going back but I would also say that the type of person you are your daughter wouldn't have minded you going back.

Anyway a very Healthy, Happy New year Jennyjoan - xxxxx
