Not the powdered/granule type,but always have a bag of frozen in the freezer in case I can't get to the shops.

you must be effin jokin, mash is so easy to make - and then to play around with as to flavours.

Mash and celeriac.....yum.

It's actually not bad when added to normal mash....you know the times when you just quite have enough spuds.

Once when I was really poor all I had, til next payday, for me and my son was a catering bag of instant mash I'd been given.
Kind of put me off it......☺

I had a craving for it when I was pregnant. Smash and beans. But because I had all day sickness and it never stayed down long meant I couldn't look at the stuff for years after.

Still not keen on beans.

Don't think I've had any since I was a kid, mom used to mash grated cheese in to it.

We ate it when we were kids - disgusting, do they still sell it? how simple and quick is it to peel a spud and mash it. I don't eat it anymore - having said that, I've often eaten out and felt the spuds were a bit too much like instant mash or smash

If I was to get only a certain amount in my shopping, it would be spuds, rice, pasta, an onion and eggs...I'm sure to get a meal somewhere out of that

dunno what kind of meal,. but it make something, smell of fried onions make neighbours think you're have a feast :)
