Got a light similiar to this in the loft

Today,it stopped functioning,checked the fuse...not that...so must be the bulb/tube,,,can I replace this?

Thank you ,Bright Spark... my loft will be bright when done the replacement.
Replace with a 100w if poss....plenty for a loft.Dont forget to switch it off.

Yes,the one in it now is rather bright ,don`t know what it has now,the person who installed it,threw away the box etc.
Cannot leave it on accidentally as it has a cable running out of the loft and it is plugged into a socket on the landing.
Don`t go up there every often,was getting the xmas decs down today.
It may have a 400 or 500w fitted as standard.Dont touch the lamp glass when fitting.Grease from your fingers will limit lamp life.
Take the bulb out and see if the wattage is marked on it. I think different power bulbs are different lengths so take the bulb with you when you go to buy a replacement.

It will be 78mm or 118mm.
