My friends think dunking a sandwich or chip butty into a bowl of soup is normal. I think it is weird and wrong. Who is correct?

And that's why we were thrown out of the restaurant, Dave... :-(
Mccfluff has not only spoken profound truth, he/she has also determined what's for lunch today... (Assuming the Brit's 'cheese toasty' is the same as our 'toasted cheese sandwich'... preferably thick sliced whole wheat bread, buttered on the outside, filled with at least 3 slices of American Processed cheese, popped into hot cast iron skillet, watched closely and removed when golden brown... plus large bowl of Mrs. C's tomato basil soup... the tomatoes of which were still on our garden's vine two weeks ago).
she.. :-)

close ish on the toasty but my preference is for a strong cheddar mixed with emmental & heinz tomato soup
yes. Normal and delicious.
Clanad: what a conservative choice for an American! Don't you usually have the most AWFUL combinations of food/tastes?
That's a good thing too, Ms. mcfluff... just so the cheese [io]is not[i] Cheese Wiz from a jar... that's just so wrong on several levels...
I'm not entirely sure what cheese wiz is, i've heard/read it being referenced & it sounds like processed cheese goop.
Surely it's Mrs Mccfluff?
I haven't done it, but each to their own. I don't think its disgusting, weird or wrong. Now dunking a biscuit in soup is wrong! I get told off for eating lamb curry with sweet rice..i love the sweet and sour taste mixed together lol
^^Cheeze Whiz is the work of Satan's cauldrons fluff..
Also made by the *$£&£"£"$ who took over Cadbury's. Sounds evil enough to me.
or is that a different Kraft Foods?
You must mean our delicious Reuben[i sandwich as an example, gingejbee... lotsa pastramei (some use corned beef) stacked on rye bread (I like the ultra-dark, slightly bitter Pumpernickel) with Baby Swiss cheese, drained [i]Kiszona Kapusta] (Polish sauerkraut) and several dollops of Thousand Island salad dressing... Ok, taht's for tomorrow's lunch, but one can't dunk that sandwich without wearing a bib!
Clanad: Every time you speak(type) I get reminded of Adam Richman - you really do know and like your food.
Veg soup poured over sausage rolls was a mainstay in our house - before I stopped eating tinned soup and eating sausage rolls
Bloke at work does it, it's just plain weird!

He brings ham butties and a tin of soup for his tea at work every day, makes the latter and dunks the former in the soup- makes me want to hurl.
i've got a good image of satan working up a cheese wiz....
B00: I'd be more concerned by the fact he is happy to eat the same meal every working day.
oh For Funks Sake

diz, that was to me not you :-)

btw its miss mccfluff, if there was a mr, he must be rotting under the floorboards somewhere...
