Apparently it can be kept for up to six months, but check on google for help.

As long as you like within reason - 5 years is probably a bit too long.

as long as you want - but a few months is realistic, IMO, otherwise it starts to deteriorate.

Make sure you cool it really quickly. Run it under the cold water tap for ages.
