Hi.
any ideas how to get my butter icing pure white.

Instead of the yellow/cream colour I usually end up with

use white vegetable fat instead of butter
use icing sugar and cream on a machine for a period at hi speed this will lighten it a lot.

or you can make an Italian butter cream which is very different to the basic creaming type.

Give it a go it's a superior butter cream much smoother and softer
