Every time I see an advert for one of these skin removers I wince and wonder when the casualties will start turning in the emergeny wards. The appalling practice (shown in the adverts) of pouring boiling water into a hand held jug just beggars belief, one distraction such as a doorbell or phone ringing and a skin transplant is just a second away.

I have the Franke hot tap and out of everything in my lovely new kitchen I would say the hot tap rates as one of our best purchases. As Ecclescake says you cannot just turn it on without realising, you have to hold in the safety button to get it to come on. There is no more danger of scalding yourself than if you are filling a cup from the kettle direct.
I use it for everything from cups of tea, coffee etc to hot water for vegetables to adding extra water for washing up.
I love mine and would not want to be without it.
I wouldn't be without mine either Sue.

I thought it was an expensive influence but now I'm a total convert :-)
I must have made a real hash of typing indulgence for it to be changed to influence!
