Can anyone tell me if the gelatine in branded jellies is suitable for vegetarians?

Gelatin is an animal protein.
You can get vegetarian jelly crystals that use agar agar as the gelling agent, but if it doesn't say it's not vegetarian.

Not only that… but it's made from the worst possible parts of animals… collagen… derived from skin, bones, connective tissue and occasionally hooves from pigs, cows, horses, etc. Works great though, doesn't it?
