I really do have a lot of fussy eaters and I usually ignore their pleas and we get along.
I would like to make a bacon suet pudding, either in a basin or a roll and I usually do onions with it to keep it moist Don't like them comes a wail, so my question is: can you good folk think of another thing I can pop in with the bacon ? Can't be tomatoes...don't like them, another has already said !

Shoota, don't like them, they're long onions !
Lady J oranges ??
segment them and put into a mixture of water and vinegar, only a small amount you don't to lose all the flavour. heat gently. let them cool, cut up smallish and then use them in place of the oinions, leeks, tomatoes. help to keep the mixture moist.
Celery
Mushrooms?
Onions and garlic. Nature's medicine chest!
Mmmm, Bacon Suet pudding. Never heard of it, but it sounds right up my street. How about a simple recipe? If its not simple don't bother. ;)

With onions.
It's tasty sve, but I don't have a recipe. :o{
If it comes to it, Boaty, I can look on-line. But folks 'cut to the chase' here with their years of practical experience.

Svejk, it is so easy....cook off some bacon of your choice 5/6 rashers, in a bowl mix 3 oz of suet with 6 oz of self raising flour, big pinch of mixed herbs, and just enough very cold water to form a dough. Tip dough onto a flour coated board and roll into rectangle. Put bacon/ any other filling then roll up the rectangle and seal with a brush of egg. preheat over 220 then bake on parchment/ greaseproof paper for 40 minutes. Easy !
I'll definitely give it a whirl, flump. I can make dumplings alright but I've never heard of putting mix in the oven. Would you fry the onions before putting in 'pudding'.

Sweety, we are talking onions over on my thread.
I wonder would cheese(& bacon) be nice. Maybe cauliflower cheese & bacon? Probably try it tomorrow.
You should svejk the onions first sweaty.....
Something similar is called bacon badger in Bucks but it's rolled in a cloth and steamed - can't imagine it without the onions though.
Oh.. and it's got chopped up potatoes in too.
