They are light grey faux suede and now they have a blob on them. Got to it very quickly and tried pressing it out with kitchen towel, tried a bit of washing up liquid, water-nothing works!!! help.

Got any baking soda to sprinkle in to draw out the fat and moisture?
On what ? - Oh boots
Fullers earth powder ?
Question Author
got bicarb of soda?

Give it a go and brush off with a dry tooth brush or similar in the morning.
Same thing....sprinkle on generously and leave overnight....brush off lightly in the morning ...fingers crossed...

I will- thanks guys
Talcum Powder is probably your best bet or if you can get a hold of a item called Combi Proper from a decent shoe retailer that should do the trick.
Try salt ?
Curious to know how they are going to stand up to dirt and rain, etc.
Protector Spray and a Suede Brush will help keep them clean and keep them resistant to dirt and water etc

I'm thinking I should leave my work head at work LOL
Sadly, I'd have treated them before I even put them on.....
We offer to do it at work giving them a good spray before we pack them up and send the customers on their way - the customers are very happy for us to do so.

the bicarb worked a little bit but you can still see where it splodged! I have ordered a suede shoe cleaner which says it works on grease (and it gets good reviews) so I will try that. I should have maybe used a protector spray (q,o.m) but I failed!!!!
What food was it?
Question Author
It was a carrots cooking in olive oil (making yummy beany tortillas) and I spooned one out to check it was cooked and it fell off the spoon onto my boot ( yeah I know-should have taken them off before starting dinner)
Your house, your rules. I know it sounds strange but for the past 2 days I've been sleeping in my steel toe capped boots. People have been hanging around lately and I'm like a coiled spring waiting to run outside and confront someone.

lol-mine are so comfy they are like slippers and I honestly don't really think about taking them off till bedtime, and the kitchen has cold tiles !
We have old red tiles in our kitchen too. Everyone seems to wear slippers in this house but me. I have to walk around with my eyes stuck to the floor when going outside as we have 13 dogs at the moment and you know what they produce! I'd be assassinated if I walked through the house with a big load of 'doo doo' on my boots!
Question Author
Off the point a bit, but why have you got 13 dogs and what are they?
