Hi bradleyy,

Yes, eggs will keep longer in the fridge;just don't put them near anything with a strong smell;eggshells are quite pourus and pick up smells easily.

However if you like fried or poached eggs, then they are better kept in cool larder/cupboard.Eggs straight from the fridge are apt to have "split" yolks because of being too cold.

most egg boxes now say they should be stored in the fridge, but before use (baking especially), I usually take them out to allow them to get closer to room temp.
I dont think it matters does it ? I mean when you go to the Supermarkets they dont coldstore them on the shop floor
I used to work in an egg factory and eggs were never stored in a fridge and they were kept for a few weeks before cooking.
