I know my comments aren't welcome but I'm relieved to learn that I'm not the only one that thinks adding tinned soup to home made soup is weird/waste of good soup/unnecessary......
OH made a chicken soup that was, for want of a better word, insipid - no other word for it. So I bought a tin of Campbell's condensed mushroom soup and added that. Made a big difference, it tasted lovely.
Hi mrs chappie and connemmara! I understand now. Maybe we can start a healthy summer soups recipe thread as i'm also rubbish at making soups but want to get to grips with the basics and then branch out to the more exotic ones.
