What medication and what dose has she tried?
Cold compresses will help, as will gentle steady movement and manipulation.
Experimenting with pillow heights and types ditto.
I have found for example sleeping flat with a pillow either side of head to minimise lolling has helped in the past.
I had a trapped nerve. Was told it was discs in neck pressing on nerve. Had pain in shoulderblade and all down left arm. Took over 2 months for the pain to go. Was seeing a chiropracter but stopped going as the treatment he was giving didnt seem to make any improvement. was taking pain killers from Doc but they only numbed the pain slightly.
Couldnt get comfortable in any position in bed.Funnily lying flat on sofa with cushion under head was better.
Sorry cant be of any use. I have experienced it and would not wish it on anyone.
