Yes. Some fruits are naturally quite high in pectin (plums for example).
Yes, lots of fruits are high in natural pectin - just use for those that are not.

As usual mamya is spot on, but Mrs Owd want's to make it in the bread machine for times sake,dont forget she has to care for me 24/7, a task indeed.
you can make it without added pectin because some fruits have enough but all jam needs pectin from somewhere
I make mine in the breadmaker sometimes - I will check my recipe book.
If you add apple to the fruit, then it is almost the same as adding pectin. The taste will hardly differ. Make the usual way cooking the apples with any other fruit you are using.
