I don't like pork but keep seeing man vs food or other cookery programs where they have really tasty sounding marinaded ribs which are usually baby back pork

Which animals ribs are can be used instead of pork, and what kind of weight and price am I looking at?

Personally pork ribs are the only way to go. The marinade is important for the flavour. They are pretty cheap to buy. I go to my local butcher for mine and he prepares them for me and I make the marinade. You can also buy them in the supermarket. If using lamb, it would be a rack of lamb which has 8 ribs on one side. Beef has short ribs so you could use those too.
pulled pork is really nice as well.

but i agree with NOM, pork ribs are the way to go!
mcfluff is right, pulled pork is delish but again it depends on the marinade.
