Lol, boo i have no idea what lilac fairy is going to be doing, just because her username is lilacfairy we can't assume that she's a small petite lady, for all we know she could be a logger, miner or oil rig worker!
The point i made about the cold is because it's winter and some places are very cold and under snow too, hardly sandwich weather imo.
Jonno - it was your comments that changed the tone of this post from a lighthearted discussion to some thing approching WW3.
Leave it out - or join in in the prevalent vein.
Jonno, you seem to be talking about an ideal world where everyone has the time AND equipment to cook a hot meal.

I for your information am an normal size fairly intellectual (I well I like to think) lady who asked a very innocent question - to all of you who helped thank you. To all those who took it away from the question asked with your silly answers, carry on with the silly comments, and I will continue to ignore those and read only the sensible answers to my rather (so I thought) sensible question.
Shooto we're having a lighthearted debate about food, what thread was you reading? Are you the owner or a mod? No? Then please don't try and order anyone around, if this thread makes you angry then simply leave it.
Mrsoverall did the op say se as making a sandwich 24 hours beforehand because she doesn't have time? We all have kids, work, hobbies, functions, jogging, gym etc.. to do but saying you can prepare meals beforehand is ludicrous, I'm guessing the op is at home so what extra "Equipment" would one need other than wat's in her kitchen? A pot, oven, grill or steamer are all suitable to make a meal or do you do things diferently?
@op, that's a bit harsh, surely everyone that took their own valuable time to help you decide on how to construct a simple sandwich deserves a thank you? Threads have a habit of doing this and spurning more annd more q&a and more debates within then such is the nature of forums and threads.
Methinks he's just got in from the pub........
Sorry Lilac.
LilacFairy, are you any further forward in making your lunch choice for tomorrow???

Who'd have thought such an innocent Q could have got so far out of hand???

It's all good, I have some nice ideas to create "my simple sandwich" no worries, goodness sake, it was quite a simple question ha ha......I have cheese, and ham in the fridge already, am not shopping again for other stuff - just looking for some inspiration to jazz it up that's all - just wondered how everyone else has theirs, no harm done! Lol
"methinks?" lol i take it you love shakespeare. No i haven't came from the pub, rather then go to a place to intake poison and sit there piling on te calories, lowering my testosterone and giving myself impotence and heart attack in the future i prefer to stay sharp, fit and healthy.

Yes and thank you Eccles, it's all good as I say! Nice Saturday evening to everyone!!!
Ecclescake where has this got out of hand? Why do some people go ont internet if they're so easily spooked, sensitive and don't know the difference between a lighhearted debate and the the end of the world which apparently is quite easily to confuse judging by some of the answers here, lol. I'm sitting here with a smile on my face and am on several other forums haviing a ball, the way some of are talking you're think the grim reaper has came for you. I applologise to all the meek sensitive souls for upsetting them and spoiling their whole weekend.
Better^?

Yawn
Grate the cheese, cube the ham and chop the salad into a bowl, liberally add salad cream, mix and eat. Or put between two slices of bread if you prefer, delicious. Personally I wouldn't bother with the bread.
What is Cheese,
I've heard somewhere that Cheesemakers 'shall inherit the Earth' because they are blessed?
At least cover your mouth.
i've just has beetroot, cuc, and mature sliced cheese with warburton's flat wrap! heinz salad cream instead of butter!

Lilac that sounds a helluva lot of calories in one sandwich, what happened to WeightWatchers? Did you join? If that's what you can have for your lunch I'll join myself.

My WW is continuing, actually it's WW(I think) wraps I have but I may use bread as it's sunday, along with Scottish Slimmers ham and low fat cheese seen as you ask. I just would add something extra as it's the weekend, like relish or salad or the like. Am not too harsh with myself at weekends, that's when I have a little of what I fancy, and I've lost a stone already. on WW and healthy eating already, only half a stone to go now!
Scottish Slimmers, don't they do a recipe for deep-fried marsbars?
I'd never heard of them but have just googled and come up with this.

Plenty of ideas there. Well done for your weight loss LF.
