You see loads and loads of recipes....but also read loads and loads of queries about what people are doing wrong, and why it doesn't set.

make strawberry jam in the microwave,just google it.

get a preserving pan, something like this and jam / chutney making is easy - then branch into wine making, if you fancy it.

It's not that hard. But you have to have patience in cooking it as it requires constant stirring and adding sugar so the jam is smooth.

managed to do it today, mum's homemade jams/chutney from north devon,w ell the plums were not sure about the oranges

annie000 see No.2....the pips/seed/stone are removed from fruit, tied up & boiled with all, as the pips give the necessary pectin, its easier than picking them out after cooking.
