I suffer with a really bad back and neck and was moaning as usual when I got up lol. Then a couple of hours ago Mr Smow said to me " make sure you've got fresh towels and two pillows in lounge at 4pm" Huh?? "I've booked a masseuse to come to the house for an hour" . Please tell me you're joking!? "Nope". So 4pm I'm sitting here nervously thinking who on earth is going to turn up when the door rings. I open it and there's a Thai woman with her 'kit' saying "Mr Smow?? " (well obviously she didn't say that lol). No it's for me I said. Hes clearly booked with his card and name... I'm having visions of 'extras' and Ting Tong from Little Britain!! Am sure she looked disappointed when it was clear it was for me- might be why she put the whip back in her car ;) anyway I spend the whole time trying not to snigger whilst she pounded me to death ! Thought at one point she was going to whip on a pair of stilettos and walk up and down my back!!

Has it helped, though?
Did you get any "extras" and was it worth it?
Mr Ask would be delighted if I ordered a masseuse for him, but I won't.
Nice surprise though!

It was actually quite painful but she said I was so so knotted.
What a beautiful & thoughtful surprise, lucky lady!

Very very unlike him but yes a lovely thing to do x
Thai massages are bloody painful. I hope it makes you feel a bit better.
I'd rather get knotted.
Many years ago we went to turkey, we both had a massage, it was so deep it hurt, and they did actually walk up and down on our backs, now that was weird.
It hurt!
I love a story with a happy ending.
Caran, me n Mrs Zacs have had the Turkish experience. It was all ok until they tried to stretch my slightly arthritic fingers. Ouch! Never again.
The Chinese walk up and down your back, on their equivalent of parallel bars for their arms so they can adjust their weight accordingly. Thais tend to use their hands and, by the end of it, you can put your knee behind your neck, as if you were six or seven again.

I don't know if it was an actual Thai massage but it hurt lol
did they 'click' your fingers, thumbs, toes and big toes....?
I had a Thai massage at the massage school in Bangkok. It was a mixture of pain and pleasure. They cracked every bone in my body. It was a really weird experience and afterwards I just wanted to go to sleep.

DTC- erm I don't think she clicked them, she did massage them pretty hard though, at one point she was leaning on my back so hard I thought she was going to climb on top of me!!

My god I can barely move today! Hubbys just told me it was actually a deep tissue massage that I had - no wonder it hurt! Is it normal to be so sore the day after?

God I hope so Murdo! Any suggestion of anything I could do to help?

I had a massage last year in South Africa. It was very deep, but really lovely. I got a bit worried when she told me turn onto my back, as I didn't have a top on. I wondered what she was going to do!
