i was watching Gordon Ramseys Kitchen the other nght and tht Street-porter woman tested out that the smoothies contained more sugars than a can of pop. and said u are more likely to put on weight drinking it!! Grrr ... advise was eat fresh fruits instead than having a smoothie!! hmmm i dont mind that!!! crazy and also u can die from drinking too much water! u know what? i give up!!!!

Yep - smoothies are full of sugar, and you CAN drink too much water. The best bet's not to take a blind bit of notice of what the so-called experts say. Eat and drink whatever you want - in moderation, and be happier than if you were counting calories at every meal!

I love fresh fruit - especially strawberries. I eat them with strawberry ice cream and clotted cream. :)

Yes WB - still no good if you want to cut down on calories. one of the best fruits is a kiwi fruit - even diabetics can eat them in moderation

They're a good way to use up overripe bananas too. I make mine with soya milk for an extra boost.

Shame about the bananas. Mangoes are great! The raspberries in my garden are beginning to turn pink now. I can't wait, I love them.
