I was wondering if any one knows the laws concerning minors (-16) whether they are allowed to sit at a bar even if they are accompanied by an adult can any one help me?

You are allowed into a bar when 14 years old, but only when accompanied by an adult (over 18) AND it is at the discretion of the landlord/barperson so they can refuse to let you in if they want. You are not allowed alcohol but you may have one glass of wine whilst accompanying a meal (in a bar/restaurant for example) but again it is at the discretion of the landlord
There are loopholes of course - under 14's can be allowed into pubs (but not specifically to the bar itself) if they remain in a designated area - a kiddies play area or a play room/pool room, for example
