quite foggy this morning so the Skygarden view wasn't up to much. The gardens themselves aren't exactly huge but they're looking quite good (still being new) - mostly Australian, NZ and Brazilian plants, says the gardener. But the owners cba putting notices on them identifying them or anything useful like that, and in a couple of months there will be only one gardener as the other's leaving.
Most of the area however is given over to food opportunities rather than gardening. On the upside, it's free, though you have to book and take photo ID.
Somerset House was interesting - we toured the remains fo the Tudor palace, of which there are few, and saw the Roman bath, which isn't Roman.
Am resting up before my final assault on the silent film. Yes, Robinia, it's mainly tinnitus that makes my hearing so crap; but they're never really silent, either someone's added a sountrack in the last 80 years or they have live accompaniment. (Cinemas always used to have if not a pianist then a whole orchestra, Wurlitzer and all.) The main thing is that I don't have to interpret dialogue, I can just read it.
