Each to their own then em, we always have Douwe Egberts Rich these days, better than all the others.

Same as Boxtops.
I only buy it when it's on offer though Do you want instant or proper coffee? |

I don't drink coffee but my Dads pretty fussy about his and swears by Carte Noir. But I suppose it's down to individual taste.

I'm rather partial to Kenco Columbian, very nice if you make it strong. The price of ths one has also shot up recently though.

Kenco Millicano is about the best instant coffee I have tried. It has fine ground coffee beans as well as the normal instant coffee.
Otherwsie try the Nescafe Alta Rica instant , there is also Pure Columbian,Peruvian, & Brazilian by Nescafe and Kenco (all instant) I can't say a specific one as coffee taste is so personal. But decent instant coffee is going to cost £2.80 to over £3.50 a 100g jar. |

Question Author
our local supermarket had own brand, which was ok, so need an instant, freeze dried stuff will do. I saw a regular size jar of decaff for 7 quid, can't remember what brand, but that was absurd. Used to have kenco, then that became too dear, and they don't always have offers in our local place.

average price for 200g jar is around a fiver, so perhaps this is another thing that will have to go, but i would most definitely miss my morning coffee.

What's your local supermarket?
My other half drinks coffee by the bucket and I buy what ever the own brand is - He usually compliments Morrisons own and ASDA's own instant I dont buy Nescafé so can't comment on that brand and tend to stick to what I know I like I buy the Douwe Egberts for me because it's a stringer flavour plus I only drink one cup a day =) |

That's about how much it is, though, em - might be worth a trip now and again to a big supermarket just to stock up. Look at the price range (for instance) here in Tesco at the moment http://www.mysupermar...uery=instant%20coffee

waitrose, it was their own brand that was nice, colombian, but they aren't doing it now, but don't really shop there, prefer sainsbury's and looked up the the kenco miilicano, wow, 4.19 for 100g. Have tried other own brands, none of which i like. Looks like it's shell out or go without.

Tesco's own brand instant 'Gold Blend' copy is quite pleasant... my husband couldn't tell the difference when I swapped it with the more expensive stuff he'd been buying
