Can anyone supply any evidence, photos (of Frank T Hopkins on a horse, or of Hidalgo), newspaper articles (of Frank T Hopkins winning a race) that Hidalgo is truely a true story?

This shows his life with horses but not proof of him on Hidalgo or of winning anything. I have read his articles etc and from what I know of Native American (I hold a degree) he is NOT speaking the truth....this site is not proof of anything he claims he has done, just proff him and horses. This is not the same thing. But thanks
I thought that the "true" part of Hidalgo had been fairly conclusively debunked...
How do you know that what the Native Americans say about Hidalgo arent true? They believe they are true.. and at the end of the movie it says there is a preservation for Hidalgos relatives in Oaklahoma or someplace. Why cant you just have faith that this happened, Frank was half Native American and his relatives passed on the story about him to generations to come, believe the story, have faith, just seeing the movie gives you a sense of unknown courage inside. The legend is true!

Hi hid12, if you actually read Frank T Hopkins stuff, there are far to many things, info and dates etc that are wrong. I know the Lakota people, I believe what they say to me, but have not spoken to them of this. Frank was 100% not half Lakota though....read his books don't believe the film! Hence I am asking the question in the first place....
