i know you can go off work with stress, what about school?

this is a list of everything in ym life at the moment giving me stress

cadets - football competition (i'm rubbish at football and are playing agaisnt people that are nearly a foot taller than me so i'm worried about that),

i've being given a rifle to do ceremonial stuff with for a drill competition, when i can barely do any of the movements and i've got 2 more nights of training left before the comp

School- our teacherse set us homework and say hand it in in a week but the next lesson give us more homework.

in geography, we handed coursework in and we got told how to improve it but he said that we have to do in our own time (sounds like homework) then gives us even more homework which non of us have time to do.

I have an art exam in 3 weeks time and my teacher is useless, i ask her a question and she replies 'what do you think would look best' when i don't know and i wouldn't be askign if i couldn't make my mind up. Plus 2 lessons ago she said get some artist research then today she said you should be on media trials when we have to do transscriptions, ideas for our final piece and research on what media we could use before we do trials for which media we will use.

In maths these boys were chucking water round the room and because i told the teacher who it was, they've been chucking more water at me and calling me abusive names (this is being sorted now, hopefully)

home, my dad keeps telling me to tidy my room but apart from the occaisonal look on here and about 5 -10 mins a day or every other day checking emails and facebook, i'm either doing homework, walking the dog, doing chores, at cadets, eating or sleeping ect if there were 30 hours in a day i might have time.

i find it hard to organise my self and my room, so my clothes just get bunged in any old draw(best stuff in wardrobe) and i couldn't find my school trousers, 1 pair was in the wash and she said that i had only given her 1 pair to repiar (they were to short but she had sewn them shorter so she was going to unsew them) and acused my of lieing and called me annoying when i couldn't find the other pair. 5 minutes later she came out of ehr room with the third pair (which were also a bit short but not as short so i had to wear ankle swingers and get stick for it at school)

ps please don't come back saying there are people ins erious debt maybe losing their homes soon, because my families got money worries aswell plsu the washing machine sjsut broken so thats something else they have to pay for.
You do sound in a mess! There is no point in carrying on getting yourelf more and more stressed about getting stressed.

Do you not have a tutor, a youth worker, somebody at cadets you can talk to about all this? It sounds to me as if you need to prioritise what is important, make a list and then try and work though your list one at a time. Tell those setting you things what you are doing and ask for their help in creating the priorities, if they are involved they will be more helpful in chasing you for things that were due for them.

What you are describing is something whihc happens all the time in life, and you can only do what you can do. Are there some things you could NOT do, that are unnecessary, you could cut out and make your list shorter.

But do talk to people to get help!
The best advice I can give you at the moment is this, Print off all this thread and take it to your parents, your Head teacher and anyone else you can think may be able to help. If you only take it tp one person they may not realise the difficulties you are getting into (and i know what you are talking about) if you take it to more people then someone will be able to help, especially if they all know each other or can contact each other.
Just doing this will make you feel better, you are just lacking in confidence by the sound of it, but it could develop into something much more serious, things will get harder as you progress through life but if you talk to people it will help.

Best of luck in the future
Pete
Oh dear mollykins - you have a bad dose of what is called LIFE. Sometimes it can be sh1te, but if you're lucky things will get better. Just do your best love, that's all anyone can expect of you.

I have dealt today with a 14 year old girl who took a Paracetamol overdose because she was gutted to have learnt she had failed her maths exam. I hope her parents give her a talking-to when she's better, to tell her in the scheme of things, all of this is not so important.
Sorry - should not have said sh1te, even with a 1, and perhaps should not have mentioned the overdose. It was just an example to show that at your age these things seem so important, so upsetting and life seems so damn hard. Life is hard sometimes. Talk to your parents & your teachers - be honest with them. Don't keep your worries bottled up. x

thanks guys, but if i don't do 1 of those thigns i'll get into trouble (at cadets they really need me and i don't want to let them down and i enjoy msot of the stuff there (its 5 a side football and with me theres only 3 on our team but if we don't enter many things this year, our unit would face closure)) i'll have a think tonight, about what i'm going to do.

oh yeah i didnt mention my diet. i went to the doctor about my back and she said that it would probably help if i lose weight, but my dad said that if i want to go on a diet, i have to cook all my own meals, which i havent got the time to do.

thanks again i apreciate you reading through all my thread even though its very long,

plus sorry for the bad spelling. when i'm angry or frustrated, i type fast so i have spelling and grammar errors.
Question Author
another plus, cadets helps to destress me aswell, because i'm with friends and most of the time we have fun, so ithink the benefits outwiegh the stress for it.
You may think that you'd be letting other people down, and considering others' feelings - but you've got to think of yourself also. You have a lot on your plate at the moment - surely one thing can 'go' without feeling too guilty. If your dad says you have to cook your own meals - then do it! You may find you enjoy cooking (more than cadets or football !).
Gotta go home now molly - keep us updated. You'll find a lot of advice and support on here, as well as people who know what you're going through. You'll probably get some daft answers too - just laugh at them, but keep posting. Better out than in..... x
