why not clear varnish them to bring out the best in them or woodstain them to match the floor baby jane?
I haven't the foggiest BJ, I am useless with colours (as my house will testify), just wanted to know how you are diddlin' darlin'?

warpig xx
I would do one wall a really strong burgandy red and the others off white - what colour are your tiles/splashbacks?

Hi warpig darlin

Im not doing too well I miss my dearest mam so much, this is why Im doing my house up to try and fill my mind, feel as tho Im cracking up. Thanks for asking, nice talking to you sweetheart
BJ xx
Sorry to hear that BJ but to occupy your mind is good. Try to keep positive and concentrate on the good times and good memories. I know you will always miss her but all she would want for you is to be happy.

Take care
warpig xx

PS. If you like, once you have decorated your house you can come round and start on mine, think of it as a blank canvas! xx
Question Author

If you're not sure why don't you paint some wallpaper lining different colours and use double sided tape to stick it up. That way you can try different colours until you find one you like. I wanted a vibrant orange on my walls but wasn't sure so I painted the walls rather than tile them. The paint worked fine and although I love the orange I'm not going to tile because the paint just washes clean and I could change it easily if I wanted.
You will like this BJ, bigmamma has been sent to the dungeon!!!!!! Can you imagine, bigmamma sent to the dungeon? AB Ed knows no limits. But I will pass on your regards. xx

Bigmamma in the dungeon!! what is the world coming to ?
Warpig its up to you and me to plan her escape, I will buy a cake (you wouldnt want to eat a one I baked) you bring the file, we can all have cake and a manicure. xxx

cheers all
The Committee for the Restoration of ABerS (CRABS) met this morning, apparently 4get already had a tunnel almost completed (due to her recent and frequent incarcerations) and bigmamma should be home in time for tea, oh and Dr Spock asked if she found his grundies could she rinse them and return them to him (some things may be better left down there)!

Zacsmaster we are going for your first idea as we have a south facing kitchen ~ it looks lovely & cool. It also goes really well with a slate floor.
Thats a bit strong zacsmaster! I think when babyjane stated 'thanks every one for your suggestions' and 'thank you all' that would answer your question of 'is a simple thanks too much to ask?' Also, it was I who started up the conversation not babyjane so perhaps you should direct your comments toward me.

You me feel I am ignorant (I did however say thank you, which I meant )as many Abers will tell you, and although I do not want to enter into a slagging match, I have to say,at least I am not insensitve,
I must add, I printed off your suggestion so as to take it to B&Q and Focus,so thankyou

My sister in law wants white high gloss kitchen usits, she intends to put colour spotlights up as well as usually lights and point them at the units, will look georgeous in the evening, she also wants to put heavy glass workshops. You can also buy small lights that go into the laminate floor which would reflect colour lights up.
