Hi, I need to update my pc skills, and though I have tried previously to try and fathom spreadsheets, it never sinks in.

Does anyone know of a good IT course, pref a home based one. Thanks.

The Learn Direct courses are quite good. Although there's some information about these courses on their website, it would be far better to call in at your local Learn Direct centre, to ensure that you sign up for the most appropriate course.

Thanks Chris, I did start a ECDL course with Learn Direct a couple of years ago, the funding was stopped and never completed the course.
ECDL every time.
I used the website www.vision2learn.co.uk for a couple of courses. they offer free tuition and a recognised certificate at the end of your course. my first one was first steps in IT followed by next steps in IT. i have just been looking at all courses offered and they have put a couple of new ones on their site, one of which i think i will do. i found them very easy, informative and i could decide how long i wanted to take over doing each course. have a go you have nothing to lose. good luck.
